Resumen:

Medieval pottery research in Poland has a long tradition, going back to the pre-War period. Since then Polish archaeologists have produced a quantity of publications in wich different approaches to pottery analyses are included. Some methods, as the author believes, were ahead of their time; and because of this were abandoned in Poland, and after many years revived again in other countries.
This article deals with most interesting achievements of post-War Polish Medieval ceramology. Furthermore the author discusses some current questions concerning ceramology and ceramological research.
